Duke’s Green Goo: One Recipe, Two Ways

by naneraday on March 4, 2013

Happy Moonday you guys!  I feel like its been a hot minute since I’ve said Moonday.  I only do it because a guy a work always says it and its just kinda fun.  It clearly doesn’t take much to amuse me.  Coming from a girl who gets giddy to eat oatmeal out of empty peanut butter jars, it doesn’t really say much.

Besides for work, typical eats, and a quick workout, today was just your typical day so rather than bore you with details of it I decided to share Dukes current obsession(he told me obvi)

I spy Duke!

To make Duke’s Green Goo throw the following into a blender:

-1 cup non fat greek yogurt

-2 heaping tablespoons of peanut butter

-1 banana

-shake of frozen organic berries

-2 large handfuls of spinach

Blend until smooth.  Once you have the blended mixture, you have two options.  You can use it to top on dry food(as seen above) OR pour it into plastic cupcake molds and freeze.

Superfood Supertreat

Your furry four legged friend will thank you!  Disclaimer: I am clearly not a vet.  I simply made this recipe based off the idea if they can sell this sort of thing at pet stores, I can make my own.  Defiently don’t want to be responsible for any upset tummies out there.  I made this goo based off things Dukey has already tried and loved.

xxoo

QOTD: What is your favorite was to spruce up dog food?  Do make special treats for your pet?

Your proats look fabulous! They’re definitely one of my favorite breakfasts in the winter!
