A Weekend Celebration

by naneraday on September 16, 2012

Well my friends, it has been a crayzee past few days spent with lots of family and friends enjoying this gorgeous weather us Illinoisans have been experiencing

after the rehearsal

Since I haven’t checked in for what feels like forever let’s rewind a bit.  I was seriously missing you guys, by the way, and want to thank you all for the kind comments and tweets regarding my jerky work bully.  You all made feel amazing which was such a nice way to kick off a weekend filled with wedded bliss which kicked off with the rehearsal.

Sidenote: My forehead bumps are back and I finally found the culprit, Lorac selfTANtilizer.  Nothing a little witch hazel can’t clear up.  What self tanners are your fav?  Anyways, back to the wedding.  If there was one word that sums up the weekend, it has to be winelaughter. My stomach seriously hurt all weekend.

After the rehearsal festivities, we kept it fairly low key so we could wake up ready to conquer the day.

history lessons with lu

Lu, D, Ninja(D’s dog) and I set out on a 2 mile power walk along one of the paths that runs through Ottawa.  Can you spot the old boat in the above picture?  I could not have thought of a better way to spend the gorgeous morning than a nice little sweat and history lessons from Sissy.  After a quick hair and makeup session, it was go time.  Here are a few shots courtesy of Tara Melissa photography

bridal partay! emphasis on the tay

This morning was spent the way they always do after a fun night out, reliving its moments with the people you spent it with, searching for belongings, and chugging water and coffee simultaneously.  I think we were all a little slap happy and it was a pretty funny morning.  There was even a request for banana nachos but we decided to walk to the Row instead.

look at that cado!

best bloody on the planet.

Time for bed I think Im desirously over tired.  Hope you had a good weekend!
